This Wednesday is the 9^th day of the 9^th month of the 9^th year of the 2nd millennium.

It is a profound time of transformation and enlightenment.  In numerology, nine is transition, completion and represents the spiritual warrior --the compassionate leader who understands the psychology and logic of the psyche as well as the physics of the universe.  Recognizing the patterns and letting them go when they no longer serve our well being are the lessons of nine.

We have seen this transitional 2009 year in our politics, with the first black US president, a new administration, and a difficult shift in our economic status. It is a shaky year where we are all being forced to learn how to connect in a different way with our money, our world, our relationships and our environment.  It is a year to connect with spirit to find answers on how to do things in a different way. 

Nine is completion, so whatever that means for you, you can ask yourself "What am I completing this year?" It may go into the gray area (which we affectionately call the zero), where you are in the hallway, so to speak, seeing the ending of something, but not really sure where to go next.  This is the time of seeing all the possibilities of change and letting go of what no longer suits your well-being.  It might be a great time to clean out the closets and the drawers. (that is what I am doing today, ugh)

In August, I went on a magnificent journey to Peru.We traveled with Shamans and learned ancient rites and became one with the earth.  I learned about connecting to spirit and nature -- letting go of my emotional destructive ties to people and reconnecting with kinship of a community filled with love and acceptance.  The last night we were all together, two of my friends called out in the pitch dark of the night... "come lie down with us" they said.  I found my way through the grass, lied down next to them and looked up. Stars spread like dancers through the sky. We called out as each new person joined us.  There must have been 20 of us lying on the grass amazed at the magnificent site. Suddenly someone started to laugh (it must have been Michelle) then another and another and all of us began laughing hysterically. So full of joy.  Joy filled with the true love of Pachamama (earth) and the sky and each other.

 

9+9+2+0+0+9 = 11/2

So this day is about transition (9) and the master 11 which is about inspiration and creation in relationships (11/2).  To inspire someone and yourself into a profound shift in the psyche, as I did in Peru. It is a potent day for setting your goals towards how you can make an impact on the world and your life in relationships of all kinds  - romantic - social - community - work.  It is a powerful time for send healing to your loved ones and the planet. On Wednesday, 9/9/9, you can meditate on completion, sorting out what you want to embrace in your life, what it is time to let go of and set out an intention of where you want to go next. It would be really cool if you did it at 9:00 am or 9:00 pm (but any time that day will be fine).
